SHE WHO DIES WITH THE MOST APS...

I could seriously become addicted to just all the free applications available to iPhones.

I even like the badly designed ones; it just makes me figure out how to fix them.

But the ones I am the most interested in are time management ones.

So instead of actually doing  all the things around here that need doing, I spend hours of time loading and fiddling with the time management application, updating and streamlining it.

Instead of doing whatever task I have entered in.

And now this particular app keeps reminding me that I need to publish my blog regularly.

So yeah, it's working.

Sorta.

A WRINKLE IN TIME

Okay, some things don't make sense to me.

Why do we have speed limits when we all (including the cops) automatically drive faster than what is posted?

We American women seem to consider ourselves liberated - so why do we purchase and wear nylons (stockings absolutely and completely guaranteed to NOT last)?

And why do we spend $280 MILLION dollars a year on making ourselves look younger?

I googled "laugh lines" - and came up with How to Get Rid of Laugh Lines, How To Exercise To Get Rid Of Laugh Lines and Laugh Lines Around the Mouth – The Most Effective Way of Getting Rid of Laugh Lines .

Someone needs to explain this to me - you are trying to get rid of a VISIBLE reminder of past happiness.

Yesterday, while driving home from Tucson and trying at the same time to eat a Frosty while merging onto rush-hour traffic on I-10, I looked in the mirror to try to wipe off the chocolate ice cream off my nose.

And I saw, for the first time, the visible lines around my mouth which are there even when I am NOT grinning.

I could not have been prouder.

THE SANDS PASS ON

What is the expression, those who cannot do, teach?

I love teaching about time management - I just aren't always as good about managing my own personal time.

I am just finishing a lesson on "Using Time Wisely, and have been alternating that with playing "Bejewled", watching "What Not To Wear" on TLC and completely relating to the women who do not know how to dress themselves well and particularly the ones who don't feel at all good about the way they look.

Is this multi-tasking or avoiding what I really need to do?

Okay - I think what I need to do is finish my lesson, find something to wear that looks nice to church tomorrow, and have down time.

Man, I am SOO on track.
